Translation Exercise - 10
The next day, when Dishan came home, his mother asked him about the health of the teacher, Dishan told that he was fine and had rejoined the school. Mother again asked Dishan about the incident and hoped that perhaps Dishan would tell the truth. Dishan created a cock and bull story and avoided it. Mother’s idea did not work, she thought of another idea. She told the false story to Dishan that she had come to know that Suryansh had done mischief with the teacher that day. Dishan was mischievous but was very close to his friend, seeing that he was falsely accused, he thought that now he might have to tell the truth. He told his mother that Suryansh did nothing but the entire mistake was his own. Hearing this his mother was very relaxed, she became very happy and hugged Dishan. Dishan started crying and apologized to his mother, he said that he was scared, so he did not dare to tell the truth. Mother explained to him that no matter how big the mistake was if he is regretful about it then it is the greatest forgiveness. In case of any mistake, parents should always be told, whatever mistake is committed, they will help. Dishan went to school the next day, went to the teacher and apologized and told him the whole truth. The teacher praised him a lot and said that he had done a great job by speaking the truth and it required a lot of courage. Dishan and Suryansh became even closer friends now and Dishan also thanked Suryansh that he played a big role in telling the truth. The teacher made everyone clap for Dishan in the next class and applauded him in front of everyone. Dishan promised his mother and teacher that he would always speak the truth instead of hiding or lying to them from next time onward.
