Raghav: Hey Vijay! Come here for a second.
Vijay: Hi Raghav! Hello Nilesh! What are you guys doing here?
Nilesh: We are having sort of an argument here.
Vijay: Argument?
Raghav: Yes. Nilesh thinks that our college is safe and there are no new cases of bullying after the new anti-ragging policy was introduced.
Nilesh: Yea! And Raghav disagrees with me. He says that there are still a lot of students who are suffering silently. He believes that some students are still getting bullied but those cases don’t come out because those students choose not to report them.
Raghav: That is the reason why I called you here. We need your opinion on it. What do you think?
Vijay: Hey I don’t want to get in between you. I think you should clear it on your own.
Raghav: It’s not fair mate! We need your opinion on it. If you know something that we don’t, your opinion might help us reach a conclusion.
Nilesh: Yeah! Help us!
Vijay: Okay! I don’t know about all of the students but I feel, there are still a few who suffer. Take for example, the girls who get catcalled every now and then in the name of fun. Also think about the juniors who are manipulated by their seniors in doing all the laborious tasks during fest or any such event. These things easily get un-noticed but they are also subtle ways of ragging or bullying.
Raghav: See! That’s exactly what I was trying to say!
Nilesh: Yes, now I get your point. You were right. Thanks Vijay for your insight!
Raghav: Yes! Thanks, Vijay! Your opinion was very crucial. Now that we know the problem, we might even be able to find a solution for it with the help of the college authority.
Vijay: I just said what I have observed. But you’re right. We should do something about it.
Nilesh: Okay! Let’s go and meet the head of the anti-ragging cell tomorrow and talk to him about it.
Raghav and Vijay: Let’s do it!
