Mrs. Ghosh: Hello Rima, how are you?
Rima: I’m good, ma’am.
Mrs. Ghosh: Okay! See, I heard from your father that you have been really stressed lately. Would you tell me what’s wrong? Maybe I can help..
Rima: It’s nothing big ma’am. It is just this quarantine thing that is stressing me out.
Mrs. Ghosh: I can understand that.
Rima: I know I shouldn’t make this a big deal but it is getting very difficult to focus on anything these days.
Mrs. Ghosh: That’s alright. To freshen up your mind, you can watch a good movie or do something you really enjoy.
Rima: Yeah. I know. It’s not so easy though. I see all these people being super productive and then here I am doing absolutely nothing.
Mrs. Ghosh: You know you shouldn’t be comparing yourself with anyone else, right?
Rima: Yes ma’am, but that’s all I can think about. With nothing else to do I tend to use my phone a lot to go through different social media accounts.
Mrs. Ghosh: Not bad to distract your mind from stress.
Rima: But, every time I open my social media accounts all I notice is people bragging about the new skills they learnt or talking about a hobby they liked.
Mrs. Ghosh: Yes, that could be too much for us sometimes.
Rima: I know, it is not a good thing to compare myself with others but I can’t help it.
Mrs. Ghosh: We can try one thing. You want to know what?
Rima: Sure!
Mrs. Ghosh: Since you love poetry, let’s do a project. I will give you a subject every day. You will have to write a poem on that. Show it to me. I’ll correct the mistakes for you and then if you want, you can post them on your social media account.
Rima: It sounds like a great idea. In the end, I will have learnt so much about poetry that I’ll be able to publish a book of my own.
Mrs. Ghosh: Oh! For sure! That would be great!
Rima: Hmm! Thank you ma’am! You’ve been a great help to me!
Mrs. Ghosh: You don’t need to thank me. What are teachers for anyway?
Rima: That’s true. Okay ma’am, I have to go now so I talk to you later. Bye!
Mrs. Ghosh: Bye!
