Medha: Good morning Prachi
Prachi: Bounasera Medha!
Medha: That’s Italian, right? You’re learning Italian? How long have you been practicing for?
Prachi: Yes. I began about a month ago. It is really fun actually.
Medha: Where are you taking the lessons from? Are you enrolled for it in the same college from where you are pursuing your graduation?
Prachi: No. My college does not offer certification courses or diploma in any other foreign language except French and Spanish. I am learning Italian mostly online. I found this app which is very helpful. You can practice every day with the help of fun, interactive media.
Medha: How much time do you spend on it on a daily basis? And what is the credibility of the app?
Prachi: I practice for about 20 minutes every day. It is like playing a game on your mobile phone, so I don’t get bored with it at all. I downloaded it because it is rated very high on Google Playstore. I even read the comments and reviews which were mostly positive.
Medha: Well, that’s good. But do you get any kind of certification upon completing the course?
Prachi: Yes, of course. When you are done with all the lessons you need to take a final exam. You get a course completion certificate on successfully completing the test.
Medha: It sounds very helpful. Tell me something, why did you choose to learn Italian of all foreign languages?
Prachi: I wanted to utilise the free time that we have these days by doing something productive. I have always been interested in the Roman culture and I really want to visit Italy someday.
Medha: You are right. This is indeed a nice way to utilise the free time.
