इस अंग्रेज़ी वार्तालाप में, अमन अपने करियर को लेकर असमंजस में है कि वो आगे क्या करे! एक करियर सलाहकार सुश्री अंजलि उसका मार्गदर्शन करती है।
Aman: Hello ma’am!
Consultant: Hi! Welcome to Spoken English Guru. I’m Anjali. Tell me, how could I help you?
Aman: Hi, this is Aman.
Aman: Well ma’am, I am in 12th standard right now. I am not able to decide what do I do next? Could you please guide me in that?
Consultant: Sure, I will help you in the best way possible so that you can take the right decision for your bright future.
Aman: That’s what I need. Thank you so much.
Consultant: By the way, which stream are you from?
Aman: Ma’am, I’m from commerce stream.
Consultant: Alright! So, why did you take commerce after the 10th?
Aman: Well ma’am, I come from a business family. My father has a rice plant. He is into the Export business as well. He suggested me to take commerce so as to gain a good knowledge of accounts.
Consultant: Okay! That means, taking commerce wasn’t your first choice, right?
Aman: Yes, you can say so; but I think I’m fine with it now. I rather love it.
Consultant: Great! So, which profession do you want to get into? Finance or accounting?
Aman: To be honest, I just want to do something that could earn me good money and good status in society. Some of my family members are suggesting me to go for C.A., others for B.Com and a few for M.Com. I’m so confused, as in, what to do!
Consultant: Hmm, you are right. You’ve an interesting dilemma. It’s just because you are listening to everyone.
Aman: Perhaps, you are right!
Consultant: Well, I’ll recommend you to do C.A. It’ll give you complete knowledge of Finance. Since you’ll already have a business of your own when you start your career; it’ll make you more competent while taking financial decisions.
Aman: I guess, you are right. Even, I feel so.
Consultant: See, you must pursue a career of your own choice because it’s crucial for your whole life.
Aman: You’re right!
Consultant: Do plan for it and don’t get distracted by listening to others.
Aman: Sure! Do I need to have good communication skills in English too?
Consultant: Yes, indeed! I was about to suggest this.
Aman: Shall I join a coaching institute or something?
Consultant: Well, we have a YouTube channel by the name of “Spoken English Guru”. Just follow its Grammar and Spoken English lessons. You can also join a coaching institute so that you get an opportunity to converse with people in English; but yes, you’ll have to work hard and have patience for months. This language is not a day’s play, you see.
Aman: Thank you! I can sigh of relief now. I’ve decided now as to what to do next. Thank you very much.
Consultant: Happy to help you, Aman. If you’ve found this career consultancy useful, you can post a review on our website www.SpokenEnglish.Guru .
Aman: Sure ma’am, it’d be a pleasure doing so! It was nice talking to you, ma’am!
